課程概述

人類學的研究對象往往是殖民地或者曾經是殖民地。但對於殖民經驗的認識常見集中於資源的掠奪與政治的壓迫，而忽略了殖民接觸的細膩與多樣。家居即是這樣隱而不顯的接觸範疇。本課程嘗試由日常生活的領域中辨識殖民體制的影響、交錯的歷史與意義。

課程目標

藉由閱讀英國在印度與法國在西非等的殖民研究，探究殖民者在婚姻、親屬與家庭內空間與內部裝飾等的介入與重新定義。

課程要求

同學應於課前閱讀指定讀物,上課時充分討論,並於一學期內繳交三份讀書心得,並於期末交一份學期報告。報告參考上課討論的主題,可以台灣香港澳門等不同殖民經驗的社會為例分析。
